Carnegie Mellon offers free "high gatekeeper" courses, defined as classes that have poor success rates but are important to getting degrees. The goal is to create courses that adapt to different learning styles and raise student success and completion ratios. Courses are designed for community colleges but could be appropriate for secondary students as well.
